Applications for the Semester of Service program for Autumn 2025 are open now!

Semester of Service is a leadership and service program that matches Ohio State students with local nonprofit organizations, where they serve on a weekly basis throughout the course of a semester. Students also participate in an educational curriculum to help prepare them to act as servant leaders in the Columbus community.  This experience provides students the opportunity to gain insight into the values and function of community service, while making a semester-long commitment to serve at a single agency. The Semester of Service program is a great way to deepen your involvement in the Columbus community through service and leadership.

These interactive workshops will provide participants with the tools needed to be informed voters for both the upcoming general election and future elections. The Annual African Org Mixer is a community-building event hosted by the African Youth League. It brings together executive board members and students from African and African-descendant organizations across campus to foster collaboration, celebrate cultural unity, and build mutual support. The event will include organizational introductions, brief presentations on upcoming initiatives, and interactive activities such as icebreakers, networking sessions, and light refreshments. Attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy casual games like volleyball, dancing, and soccer in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Join your fellow Buckeyes in a day of service. Get connected to the Columbus community at Pay It Forward’s 28th Annual Community Commitment on Saturday, September 20.

Since 1997, Buckeyes have started the new school year by coming together to serve  Whether you volunteer together with your student organization, a group of friends or want to get involved individually, all undergraduate, graduate and professional students are invited to join Pay It Forward as we ring in the new academic year by giving back to the city of Columbus through a morning of community service! Students will have the opportunity to participate in 2-3 hours of community service with a local nonprofit around a variety of community needs.

Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. on September 20. Groups can pre-register to be placed at the same site, and there is no advanced pre-registration required for individual participants.
