Freshman Orientation Program: Winter Quarter 2010

Orientation reservation is only open to students who have been sent an orientation mailing for their first quarter of enrollment at Ohio State. This mailing is sent beginning approximately one month prior to the first orientation date for that quarter (mid-April for summer and autumn admits, mid-October for winter admits, and mid-January for spring admits). The mailing is sent only to students who have paid their acceptance fees.

All freshmen enrolling winter 2010 are automatically assigned to attend orientation on Thursday, December 17, 2009.

Exception: Freshman engineering students will be attending the orientation program on Monday, December 14, 2009, in Hitchcock Hall, Room 131, as engineering advisors are unavailable on December 17.

Students should check in at Hitchcock Hall (Room 131), 2050 Tuttle Park Place, Columbus, Ohio, 43210. Parking is available in the Tuttle Park Place Garage.

Requesting Disability Services

Most of the academic accommodations and services available to students during the academic year through the Office for Disability Services (ODS) are also available to you during orientation. Students with disabilities can receive support services that include test-taking assistance and adaptive transportation.

Disability documentation must be presented to ODS for determination of eligibility prior to your orientation session. If arrangements are made in advance, ODS will help ascertain needs and arrange appropriate services during orientation for students. Arrangements for family members are also available.

We cannot guarantee that services will be available at orientation if arrangements are not made in advance of the program. Request disability accommodations here.
